Tempio di Apollo: Walking trough the bridge, in Piazza Pancali, there are the ruins of the most ancient temple of Syracuse and of Sicily too: ( VII-VI century A.C.). The temple was discovered for the first time during the XVII century avd complitely restored during the XVIII century (1938 and 1111943). |

Fonte Aretusa:It is a spring that flows into a basin planted with papyruses. The greeck mythology narretes that Aretusa, after has entered the river Alfeo. The river assuming a human shape (or becaming a man ) falling in love of her. Aretusa despoiring, called Artemide ascking to solve her problem, as consequence Artemide transformed her in a really beautiful spring. |
